Mission Innovation’s Public Funders Dialogue is a series of meetings that bring together funding agencies and ministries to discuss joint Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I) calls and shared ambitions for the future. The meetings are designed to enhance coordination of public funding of transnational RD&I in the energy transition in support of Mission Innovation and its overall ambition. The MICall series, supported by the Public Funders Dialogue, was initiated in 2019 and 2020, and the 4th MI Funders Dialogue is set to take place virtually on May 9th, 2023, from 12:30 to 14:30 CET. These meetings are being organised by Austria and Sweden.
The 4th MI Funders Dialogue intends to continue the series of MICalls, which has seen several successful calls over the past few years. This first 2023 meeting will introduce several RD&I call topics that are being prepared for launch as part of the MICall23, the 5th call in the MICall series. The call is currently being prepared in collaboration with two large funding networks, DUTPartnership and CETPartnership, and several of the MICall23 topics are also being developed in collaboration with leads and co-leads from the MI Missions. Public funders, on both national and regional levels, are welcome to join the MICall23.
The 4th Public Funders Dialogue will be an opportunity for public funders of RD&I from around the world to participate and discuss shared ambitions for the future. The event will focus on enhancing the coordination of public funding of transnational RD&I in the energy transition and supporting the MI Missions in their strategic agendas. The dialogue is also an opportunity for ministries and public representatives in the Mission Innovation Network to engage and discuss new joint RD&I calls.
You can find the agenda here for the first meeting on May 9th, 2023, and participants can join through this link.
