On March 20-22, 2023, senior representatives from Mission Innovation (MI) member countries and collaborating organizations convened in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the Annual Gathering. On March 21, the United States Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations, with support from the MI Secretariat, convened the first meeting of the MI Financing Clean Energy Demonstrations Dialogue Series. Building upon the Clean Energy Demonstrations Roundtable hosted by the US at the Global Clean Energy Action Forum in September 2022, this dialogue focused on how governments are advancing offtake mechanisms to create demand and economies of scale for products produced by large scale clean energy demonstrations.
