Under Mission Innovation’s Renewable and Clean Hydrogen Innovation Challenge (IC8) and on behalf of the European Commission, the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) has been building a global information sharing platform for flagship hydrogen projects to enable global learning and push the development of so-called Hydrogen Valleys – integrated, larger-scale regional hydrogen initiatives – forward. The platform has been developed by Roland Berger and Inycom.
The Hydrogen Valley Platform will feature comprehensive insights into the most advanced and ambitious Hydrogen Valleys around the globe. Based on the most exhaustive data collection conducted among Hydrogen Valleys, the platform will provide information on technologies deployed, funding details, stakeholder management, barriers and key project success factors, among many others. The information from the survey will be complemented by best practices from the most advanced projects on the platform, a matchmaking section as well as a compilation of the most useful tools and studies available for Hydrogen Valleys, project developers and policy makers alike.
The platform will be officially launched on 19 January, 11:00 – 13:00 CET. Following keynote speakers from the MI IC8 Co-Leads Australia, the European Commission and Germany, the developers of the platform will present the platform’s functionalities as well as key findings of the global analysis of Hydrogen Valleys. The event’s program will also include a panel discussion with representatives of four Hydrogen Valleys from around the world.
