Are you driving the pace of the clean energy revolution with a new technology or solution? Do you know of a researcher or innovator who is developing novel ways of making clean energy cheaper and more reliable? If so, please apply or nominate any exceptional researchers to become one of the next MI Champions!

This program seeks to recognize exceptional researchers and innovators who are developing new ways of making clean energy cheaper and more reliable by using it more efficiently. The program will focus worldwide attention on the most promising ideas from across the globe and will seek to facilitate engagement and investment amongst the awardees and MI governments, research institutes, businesses, and private sector investors.

One Champion from each participating MI member country will be selected.[1] Also, one Champion for the European Commission (on behalf of the European Union) will be nominated, this being from a European Union country that is not an individual member of MI.[2]

MI Champions will be expected to participate in the fourth MI ministerial (MI-4) meeting in May 2019 in Vancouver, Canada, where they will be publicly recognized by the MI community, and gain visibility through the outreach and communication efforts of the MI Secretariat.

The deadline for registration is 10 September 2018. For more information please visit the MI Champions website or email with any questions you might have.
