Ramping up ambition: Revised goals for the Zero-Emission Shipping Mission to accelerate the maritime decarbonization transition by 2030.

Today, the Zero-Emission Shipping Mission announced revised, more ambitious 2030 Mission goals, at an event during Singapore Maritime Week. International shipping is responsible for 3 percent of global GHG emissions, and reducing emissions from this sector is therefore key to meet global climate targets. The new goals will require coordinated efforts to foster innovation across the entire maritime value chain, from the ships, to the zero-emission fuels they will rely on, to the infrastructure that will supply them.
