Information sharing by each participating country promotes transparency, allows for broad stakeholder engagement, spurs identification of collaborative opportunities, and provides the private sector more actionable information to improve its ability to make investment decisions. In addition, information sharing can further encourage, enable, and help to establish strong linkages across borders and leverage complementarities.
MI’s Information Sharing Sub-Group formulates and implements a system that allows each MI participating country to provide information on its clean energy R&D efforts while supporting other elements of Mission Innovation. Information sharing enables MI countries to efficiently and flexibly:
- Provide information on plans for and progress toward each members’ efforts to seek to double clean energy R&D investment over five years
- Facilitate cooperation between and among members on R&D needs, priority-setting, collaborative opportunities, projects, and best practices
- Facilitate engagement with the private sector
Countries participating in the Information Sharing Sub-Group are European Union (Co-Lead), United States (Co-Lead), Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Sweden, and United Kingdom.
