This, currently active, project aimed to create a cohesive online resource to support the development of green shipping corridors. Tools include: library of major reports and analyses from Mission supported projects and can be easily filtered by keyword, corridor route tracker tool that visualizes and tracks announced green shipping corridors, and matchmaker tool which allows users to include post their information to support partnership development across potential green shipping corridors. Launched at COP27, the website is now live. Future steps involve updating the website in the second half of 2023.

Project Objective:

Create an online ‘one stop shop’ platform to support the development of green shipping corridors, including a library of major reports, corridor route tracker tool, and matchmaker tool. The website will be continually updated.

Project Milestones:

The project has been completed, with a website that includes three initial tools – Route Tracker, Library, Matchmaker, successfully launched at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh. The website and project is now in a maintenance phase, ensuring tools remain up-to-date with the latest information in the space. Through bilateral discussions with stakeholders to understand the desire for additions or changes, no major gaps were identified. In the second half of 2023, there will be a substantive update to the site, coordinated with GMF’s 2nd Annual Progress Report on Green Corridors. A gathering – public, private or public-private – for knowledge sharing on green corridors is being considered.
