Mission Innovation (MI) is pleased to support the Sustainable Innovation Forum as the largest business-focussed event at COP, facilitating direct engagement between private and public sector leaders to accelerate action on issues including clean energy, energy access and climate change.

Mission Innovation will work with the organisers, Climate Action, to drive positive, proactive engagement between the public and private sectors around clean energy innovation at the Forum alongside COP 25 in Madrid, Spain in December.

This years’ Forum will convene 600 high level delegates, including environment and energy ministers, city leaders, heads of UN agencies, CEO’s and heads of sustainability from global businesses and CEO’s and founders of clean tech start-ups.

As the leading intergovernmental platform accelerating clean energy innovation, Mission Innovation will work with the Forum to profile innovators and solutions, showcase the impact emerging from member investments in clean energy and participate across two days of insightful debate with the private sector.

“We are delighted to be supporting the Sustainable Innovation Forum to showcase progress in clean energy innovation and discuss the challenges ahead,” said Jennie Dodson, Head of Secretariat for Mission Innovation.

As an official affiliate event of COP 25, the 10th annual Sustainable Innovation Forum 2019 will build on the success of the last 9 years to deliver the most engaging, informative and wide-reaching Forum yet bringing together 85 of the world’s most sought-after thought leaders. Located in the Green Zone (open to all delegates), this is a must-attend event on the COP 25 programme. The Forums agenda will address the following topics: Sustainable Mobility, Energy Transition, the Circular Economy, Natural Capital, Climate Finance, Sustainable Cities, Heavy Transport, Emerging Climate-Tech, Climate-Smart Agriculture and the Oceans Economy.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mission Innovation as key partner for the Sustainable Innovation Forum at COP25, engaging its 25 member committed to clean energy innovation,” said Nick Henry, Founder and CEO of Climate Action.
