The Summit will be a critical opportunity to take stock of the growing list of commitments from countries and companies to reach the goals of the Paris Agreement, and to focus on the implementation actions necessary to start turning the growing number of net zero goals into reality. The Summit will be a virtual roundtable, bringing together ministers, CEOs and key leaders of civil society globally. Participants will join in discussions in plenary and topical breakout sessions and exchange on countries’ actions to accelerate their clean energy transitions, with MI representative Commissioner Mariya Gabriel speaking in session ‘Fast-tracking Energy Technology and Innovation to Reach Global Net Zero’ and Minister O’Regan speaking in the ‘Mobilising Clean Energy Investments’ panel.
